The Assistant Engineer Intern will play a vital role in supporting recording sessions, rehearsals, and studio operations. This position is ideal for someone eager to learn the intricacies of audio engineering and build valuable skills in a real-world setting.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with setting up and breaking down audio and recording equipment.

  • Provide technical support during recording sessions, including managing cables, microphones, and signal flow.

  • Help maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the studio.

  • Troubleshoot basic audio issues under the guidance of the Studio Engineer.

  • Support live and virtual events hosted by Songhai Studio.

 

What You’ll Gain

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of studio equipment and signal flow is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Availability to commit to 10 hours per week.

 

Schedule & Commitment

This internship requires a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, depending on studio sessions and events. The position will run for 3 - 6 months with the potential for extension or additional opportunities.
